With the macro lens I've borrowed I've had a renewed interest in the blooms of spring. I've taken close up shots before with my 200mm lens but they don't come out quite the same as a true 1:1 macro lens does. You really get a sense of detail and lose the sense of scale (in a good way) with the macro lens. This is one of the blooms from a cherry tree in the neighborhood a few weeks back. Just about all the trees are now nice and green blooms all gone. But on a gloomy kinda day, I night bloom with blue backdrop works for me. Enjoy!
