The hard part in painting these lines was that the darker color wet, was exactly the same as the base color dry, so it was extremely hard to paint the initial coat of the darker color. I love how it turned out. The idea was to create something that would work as a focal wall, but be classy and not stand out to much. I think we succeeded. Now we just need to get the crib put together and the other things setup and we'll be all set for the new baby to sleep (occasionally) in the room. Enjoy!

After a lot of hours of taping and painting, the paint portion of the nursery is complete. It took me two hours to tape around the edges of the room to do the initial base coat of paint and then once that was done and dry, I waited 3 days to then tape up the vertical lines you see here. It took another 5 hours of taping, laser leveling and more taping to get them taped up then about an hour to paint these lines.
