The other day I was off for Columbus Day (govt. holiday) so after breakfast I headed out to Downs Park to get some pictures of fall. My goal was to get some shots of the changing colors in the trees. To capture all the bright yellow, reds and oranges that the trees have this time of year.

I was able to get some good shots, and hopefully some different things to share here. I ran into a deer on a trail, which of course provided a unique photography opportunity. But I wanted to start with this picture. I was walking along the trail and I noticed these little baby sized flowers along the ground. So I got down and zoomed in, lowered my aperture to get a nice bokeh in the background and shot.

The more and more I photograph I find myself drawn to two distinct and different areas of photography. I love landscape/architectural photography, but I also love macro photography. I've been thinking about getting a dedicated macro lens for the SLR for a while now, I just need to figure out which one would be best. Enjoy!
