One evening while we were at the beach enjoying some cool sand, we noticed the full moon rising over the ocean. It was an amazing sight that I think I've only somewhat captured here. I only had our handheld camera with me, so I had to do the best I could. The problem with shots like this, people think that at night you need to take a long exposure because its dark, but in situations like this, there is plenty of light, the moon is actually incredibly light.

Add to that the fact that if you try and expose a picture for very long handheld its going to be a blurry mess. So we have this camera we just got, its a point and shoot but it does seem to have a few features that work decently well. I was able to put the camera into "Program" mode allowing me to choose a faster ISO which enabled me to take a decent picture in low light. The trade off of course is extra grain. All that being said to say this - its not the best picture ever, but it was amazing to see, and hopefully hat comes across here. Enjoy!

Did you ever see The Truman Show with Jim Carrey? This picture reminds me of that.

That is a beautiful picture. Water at night is pretty and put the moon with it and it is even prettier.
