The Nursery

Over the weekend Jenn and I worked to get the nursery all finished up. Let me defined "finished up". Jenn painted the trim (white) a second coat of paint, I continued to polish up the new lines on the wall, and I ended up needing to paint the entire ceiling.

We decided not to tape the ceiling because we could just touch it up. However, when it came time to touch it up, I couldn't find a paint that matched well enough. So, after trying twice to match the paint color, I gave up and painted the whole ceiling.

With the painting done we were able to get the feet on the armoire and the dresser without to much trouble, it just took a good bit of time. We finished up the first night by putting the changing pad holder in place on the dresser and finished for the evening (it was hot and late). Sunday we tackeled the crib. It was really easy to put together and didn't take all that long. Probably about an hour to get it together.

In this picture you can see the crib, the dresser, the yellow and brown lines I've painted on the wall, and a little bit of the brown curtain that hangs as a door for the closet. We're going to put some word art up in the yellow section of the line this weekend, and then in a few weeks we'll dress the bed. We've got a few more things to decorate but all the major work is done, hence the fact that its "finished up". If a baby needed to sleep in there tonight, she could. Enjoy!
