This weekend Jenn and I will hopefully be wrapping up the modifications to our basement, once again making it livable and enjoyable. I've been working down there during weeknights and weekends since New Years to get all the painting done and its been a chore.

This picture was taken after one of the coats of primer had been applied, not sure if it was one or two. After this, two coats of the new paint was applied, and then the trim got painted. What I more wanted to talk about, was the hassle of tapping. It sucks.

The other night, I went downstairs to tape up the trim for painting and it took me 1.5 hours. I don't know if I'm slow or to anal about it, but it took forever. I don't think I've spent 1.5 hours painting the trim. It just seems like a lot of work, and then the lines never turn out as crisp as I would like them to be either. Here's hoping for something better. This time around I've made sure to take my time, I've gone back around and touched things up too, making sure to touch up the white ceiling where a little bit of blue might have ended up. Like I said the other day, I'll be sure to share the final pictures when its all done. Feel free to click this picture and explore the gallery attached for a sneak peek. Enjoy!

The Joy of Painting
