I'm not a huge "monster" movie fan, but this movie was great. What made the movie really fun/interesting to watch is that it is told from the perspective of people on the street. The movie is presented as if it were taken with someones hand held camcorder capturing all the action as it goes down.
The storyline is good, don't worry no spoilers here just praise. I was pulled into the story pretty quickly on and I don't feel like the movie ever really let me go.
Some people know my taste in movies (i.e. the summer blockbusters) and this isn't that. This feels like a small movie, playing up to some major hype. And in my opinion, I definitely think it lives up. My review? Fantastic movie. Go see it and...Enjoy!

Jess and I talked about how I didn't like transformers, and I liked Cloverfield and how they were similar but different. Sure it was some CGI monsters blowing up a city, but the storyline, the character development, and the style of filming was so much better. The CGI monsters were almost an after thought in Cloverfield while it seemed to be the ONLY thought in transformers. I also recommend the movie.
