Google an Apple

So yesterday I was having a conversation with a friend about Google. We were both commenting about how amazing the growth that they've had over the past year or so is. So below I thought I would take a couple of screen shots of their current activity. All three of the charts below are of the same time period, the past year to date.

So you might be wondering why I would also include information here about Apple. Another tech company, that while its stock is about 1/4 the value of Google, its growth over the past year, has actually been more than double that of Google's.

Google stock is up 55% this year, to around $740 a share. And Apple's stock is up 115% to about $185. Personally its just amazing to me what these two tech companies are doing. And as a final comment of interest, I used Google's finance application to create these charts and gets these numbers. Enjoy!
