Pacific Highway

Yesterday Jenn and I drove 455.8 miles from Los Angeles to San Francisco by way of California Highway 1. It was certainly an incredible drive to be able to take in. We drove quite a while up 1 before it actually became a hardcore coastal highway.

What I mean is that we drove through Malibu on our way up, and then onto some other California towns. Eventually the 4 lane rode became a 2 laner and we started heading up and down and in and out of the mountains. The views were amazing. However, it did take us quite a while. From hotel stop to hotel stop it was a 12 hours drive and ride for us today. But with views like the one below, it was certainly worth it. This one below is from one of the "Vista Points" along CA-1.
